Later, the Taliban and other groups adopted tactics refined in Iraq and Chechnya, emplacing increasingly powerful Improvised Explosive Devices beside or underneath roads. The lack of sophistication had the effect of keeping NATO fatalities low compared to U.S. Often, the poorly-trained, poorly-equipped enemy - whether Taliban or some other group - would fire their rounds randomly. In the early days of the then eight-year-old Afghan war, most of the NATO casualties resulted from small-arms fire.
If true, that would jibe with what battalion intelligence had been saying for several days now, that the local insurgent elements had somehow gotten their hands on a Russian-made Dragunov sniper rifle - and knew how to use it. Bullets bounced off the armored windshields of their vehicles, as though an insurgent sniper were deliberately targeting the drivers. While the soldiers, from 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, based in Italy, would later complain about the deafening noise from the rocket strikes, it was another weapon that troubled them the most. Rockets exploded harmlessly against the sides of the thickly-armored American vehicles. Here’s What You Need to Remember: For the front-line soldiers, the alleged sniper and his Dragunov rifle was far more alarming.
I think that people feel like this game isn't as tactical as the INS mod because the INS mod was focused around very linear push maps which required teamwork.Recent GDI News – Government Defense Infrastructure Usually the team with better game sense and map awareness wins. I do really like firefight because, at a competitive level, it offers a lot of meta and strategy. I do, however, enjoy the CQC bit in the current INS more than in the INS mod.įirefight was in INS mod but I didn't play it that much. The maps in the last year or so have opened up in the current INS which has helped some.
The maps were a lot more open in INS mod as well, focusing on push moreso than firefight and skirmish (current INS). You couldn't clear out an entire LARGE room with the RPG on the INS mod. In the INS mod, the RPG was a very concentrated blast. My big gripe is the IED/C4 and RPG/AT4 in this game.
I think both have positives and negatives. That's why, historically, night maps aren't made for PVP ever. There's too much gamma differential between PC's without people that gamma boost. Nights map IMO are a negative for PVP (coop it's really cool though!). Promotional content may be removed if the poster does not meaningfully contribute to the subreddit.
